We believe in equality for all and we welcome all ethnicities, races, genders, sexual orientations, cultures, faiths, ages, disabilities, and identities with respect. Each lab member is unique and brings their individual perspectives to our team, research, and program. We are committed to maintaining an inclusive environment where each lab member is welcomed, respected, and supported during their educational and scientific journey.
The Rudolf Lab works on discovering novel natural products from bacteria, understanding how they are made by Nature, and how they can be utilized and engineered for human health.
We are a member of the Chemical Biology Division within the Department of Chemistry at the University of Florida. Research in the Rudolf Lab is very multidisciplinary; students receive training in microbiology, genetics, genomics, bioinformatics, metabolomics, chemistry, biosynthesis, and enzymology. If you are excited by how Nature uses biological systems to create complex and biologically active small molecules, natural products research is for you!
